Here’s what you need to know this morning:
- Though it’s Christmas week, some big companies (Nike, FedEx, BlackBerry) are set to release their financial earnings. Today, however, Lennar ($LEN) and Worthington Industries ($WOR) are the only two companies of note with earnings calls. The former is up this morning after a positive earnings call, and the latter will be reported later this afternoon.
- The market is open on Friday, the 23rd. It is not, however, open on the 26th to make up for Christmas Day landing on a Sunday this year.
- The Dow closed on Friday at 19,843.41, short of the supposed 20,000-point milestone. Can it reach said milestone this week, or will this be the beginning of a downward trend? We’ll see in the second-to-last week of the year.
